❖ Introduction


Mary Lynn Rouleau is your host and instructor of the Northport Artist Residency Workshops.  An artist and college professor of drawing and painting with over 25 years of experience. She loves to share her appreciation for the Leelanau Peninsula's unique and wildly varied landscapes, shorelines, wildflowers and woodlands.

Mary Lynn resides in Grand Rapids, MI when not enjoying the beauty of Northport, MI and the Leelanau Peninsula. Her personal website – www.rouleau-studios.com

❖  Professional  Accomplishments


  • Established a teaching  studio, Rouleau Studios, at Marywood Academy specializing in watercolor instruction. 

  • Conducted a variety of instructional workshops presenting topics in painting and book illustration for museums, colleges and schools.

  • At an annual MANS Conference, (Michigan Association of  Nonpublic Schools), with an approximate 5,000 educators attending, Mary Lynn was honored to speak on the topic of Classical Art Education.
