Lodging is handicapped accessible for one guest.  If you have mobility restrictions, please contact us to discuss access to studios and other facilities.

  • Physically disabled or anyone who struggles with stairs must have a first floor bedroom.
  • Master bedroom, queen bed, with an adjoining bathroom (Wheelchair accessible - roll-in shower).

        ◆   Cancellation & Transfer Policies


While we understand that circumstances can arise causing a change in your plans, Northport Artist Residency must adhere to a business policy. If you need to cancel your registration, we must be notified by phone, and the following policies apply:
  • ​You may transfer from one workshop to another, space permitting. Also, registrations are transferable to another person. Transfers fees are charged, note below.
  • 45 days or less prior to a workshop: Northport Artist Residency will retain the non-refundable deposit. 
  • 46 days or more prior to a workshop: The non-refundable deposit may be transferred to a later workshop date, or transferred to another individual for a $45 fee.
  • 30 days or less prior to a workshop:  Northport Artist Residency will retain 50% of the workshop fee with the exception for documented medical emergencies.  Consequently, for an additional  $75 fee, the retained 50% of the workshop fee may transfer to a later workshop date or transfer to another individual.


        ◆   Northport Artist Residency Cancellations


If it is necessary to cancel a workshop due to unforeseen circumstances, guests will be notified as soon as possible.
  • You may then register for another workshop or receive a full refund of the workshop fee.
  • Northport Artist Residency cannot be responsible for nonrefundable travel charges incurred.

Northport Artist Residency reserves the  right to offer discounts as deemed necessary to market workshops. Workshop fees are not posted on the website.

        ◆   Payment Policy


   Payments are paid by:

Payment options:  personal checks, bank checks, or money orders are accepted.
Payments are sent to the mailing address below:

           (Payable to Northport Artist Residency)

        ◆  Down Payment


             When enrolling, registrants pay a non-refundable 20% down payment.

        ◆   Balance Due


             The unpaid balance is due thirty (30) days prior to the workshop.

❖ Internet Usage Policy

Northport Artist Residency has access to the internet. All guests may access the internet with personal laptops & cell phones. 

        ◆   Internet Policy


Northport Artist Residency Internet Policy states:
  • Personal use is permitted.  Personal use that interferes with another guest's enjoyment is prohibited.
  • Inappropriate use of the internet including transmitting or downloading of material that is discriminatory, defamatory, harassing, insulting, offensive, pornographic or obscene is prohibited.
  • Unauthorized access by a guest of other guests’ electronic communications  is prohibited.
  • Guests are hereby notified that any misuse will be subject to termination. No refunds will be issued.

Breakfasts, lunches and evening light hors d'oeuvres— Leelanau Peninsula beverages are supplied and included in the fee.

Northport Artist Residency does not furnish nightly dinners.  Dinners are workshop guests' responsibilities. Alternative nightly dinner options vary and will be addressed in the Workshop Getaway Questionnaire.

Northport Artist Residency is not responsible for the security of property belonging to workshop guests. The cottage is locked and security system armed when no one is present.

❖ Pets

No one is permitted to bring pets.  The only exception is for service animals assisting the physically handicapped.

❖ Smoking

Picture
Smoking is not allowed on East Napa property. If you must smoke please walk to Foxview Drive. All cigarettes, cigars, etc. must be discarded in a sealable container.

❖ Policy Against Unlawful Harassment

Northport Artist Residency is committed to maintaining an environment that is free of harassment. In keeping with this commitment, we will not tolerate harassment by anyone.

Northport Artist Residency is committed to providing an atmosphere that is free from sexual harassment, as well as unlawful harassment based on ancestry, race, age, color, marital status, medical condition, mental disability, physical disability, pregnancy, childbirth or related medical conditions, national origin, religious creed, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, or any other basis protected by federal, state, or local law, ordinance, or regulation. It also prohibits unlawful harassment based on the perception that anyone has any of those characteristics, or is associated with a person who has or is perceived as having any of those characteristics. All such harassment is unlawful.

Sexual harassment is one specifically prohibited type of harassment. Unwelcome or unwanted sexual advances, requests for sexual favors, and other physical, verbal, or visual conduct based on sex constitute sexual harassment.
